It is important you feel comfortable so whatever feels right for you. Its common to do some hands-on work and therefore loose fitting clothing is beneficial. 

The initial Assessment session will be a little longer than routine appointments and we normally allow approximately 1 hour and a half. During this time we will enquire about what you want to get from our visits, establish goals and try to understand what matters to you and your family. 

There will be a formal Physical assessment and exploration anticipated potential. We will then make recommendations of how much therapy that will require relative to both frequency and duration. 

Follow up sessions are routinely an hour long and will be inline with the clients goals which are regularly reviewed. 

All costs will be transparent and discussed with you prior to commencing any assessment or treatment. There are no hidden costs or surprises and we will aim to provide a package that suits both your clinical needs and budget.

• Self-funded clients will be invoiced at the end of the month for rehabilitation already completed.

• Work for NHS commissioners and Case Managers will be quoted in blocks of treatment in order for funds to be authorised. Invoices will be sent out relative to the blocked therapy agreed.

All payments are to be made by Bank Transfer

At present Acute Brain Injury & Stroke Rehab work soley in clients homes. This is because I personally enjoy working alongside clients families and gives the opportunity for rehabilitation to be more transferable into their day to day life. 

Whilst some clients struggle with fatigue and the additional travel to/from a clinic, if we think this is better for you we will be open and advise that to you on assessment.

GDPR is very important to us, all data on clients is recorded and stored in line with Chartered Society of Physiotherapy regulations. 

Information will only be shared with third parties if it is beneficial to your treatment. This may include liaising with your GP, social worker or care agency to optimise your care. We will never share your information to external parties beyond the needs of your care. 

At the time of assessment you will be asked to sign our GDPR document and consent form. However, we will always re-check consent prior to contacting any of the above on your behalf and will not do so with out your permission.
